Are you searching for a piano teacher in the Huntingdon and St. Ives area? David has well over twenty years' experience as a local piano tutor and has coached countless dozens of pupils to exam success. He teaches at his home, in a purpose-built music room, equipped with a modern Yamaha U3 professional upright piano and a Yamaha P-120 electronic keyboard.
You may wish to work towards formal music exams - David offers tuition in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music syllabuses, Grades 1 to 8. Perhaps you would rather just play for leisure and pleasure? David can also accommodate pupils who prefer to work outside the formal structure of the music exam system and focus more on the relaxing and recreational benefits of playing an instrument.
Whichever option you choose, you will find David to be a friendly and patient tutor with a relaxed, yet thorough approach to his teaching. Lessons are either of 40 minutes or 1 hour's duration and are charged at very reasonable rates.
Do you need to pass your Grade 5 ABRSM Theory of Music exam?
David also offers specialist one-to-one tuition towards Grade 5 Theory for pianists and other instrumentalists. Students follow a stage-by-stage structured course, using tried and tested materials devised and developed by David. There is no need to struggle with the impersonal, dry and often over-complicated approach of many 'Do-It-Yourself' Theory textbooks!
